Where Can I Find A Green Home Cleaning Service?

Cleaning the home is no small feat. Sure it can be easier if you live in a mini flat or a small apartment. But if you live in a medium sized or big apartment or house, it can be quite tedious and stressful particularly when you have a busy schedule or aren’t in the mood for it.

Not just that, if you’re an environmentally conscious person, you may want to consider having your home cleaned with eco-friendly cleaning materials. Question is do you even know where to find the best eco-friendly cleaning materials? And if you do, which cleaning materials are best suited to your home?

There are a lot of factors to consider if you decide to clean by yourself. For instance, you have to find out the best cleaning agent. If you or your kids are allergic to certain substances, you’ll need to be sure that the cleaning agent you bought doesn’t contain any of that.

You’ll need to either choose a chemical cleaning agent or an eco-friendly one. Bottom line, it can be quite difficult. So, why not just save yourself a lot of stress and time by having a professional green home cleaning service come in and do the job?

If you’re ready, where can you find the right green home cleaning service?

Look for Green Home Cleaning Services Online

It’s easy to find answers to just about anything we want these days. This includes businesses, companies and services. The days of having to look for the phone book or skim through the Yellow Pages are long gone.
The first place to look is online. In fact, chances are that after looking through the listings online, you’ll most likely settle for one or more cleaning services. A quick search will produce tons of results from which you can then make your choice.

One thing though, be sure to look for green home cleaning services around your locality or area. The more specific you are, the better your results will be.

Look in Service Review Websites

The second best place to check are the review based websites online. Review services like Yelp and Angies List, do a fantastic job of helping people identify the various businesses offering excellent services.

If you want to know just how well a cleaning service’s cleaners do their job, check these websites. The reason you can trust the reviews on these websites is that they are often provided by real people who have used the services before. So, you’re sure to get genuine reviews and feedback about their services.

Reasons to Hire a Green Home Cleaning Service

Most people are not particular bout choosing a cleaning service. As far as they’re concerned, they just want someone who can come clean the house once a week or as many times as they want weekly. Only downside to this attitude is that if you hire a company that does poor or shoddy work, you’ll get poor results.

Same goes for a company that really doesn’t care about the products they use. This is why you need to be careful when choosing your cleaning service and opt for one that is environmentally conscious and committed to reducing carbondioxide emissions. But if you don’t see why you need to distinguish, maybe the following points will help you.

1.Commercial Chemicals Can be Dangerous

Here’s an interesting fact: Since 1945, over 80,000 new chemical substances have been introduced into the society-many of these used in detergents and soaps. Of the 80,000+ chemicals, less than 8,000 are harmless.

Little wonder there’s a huge increase in the number of cancers between 1945 and now. Using a product with potentially harmful chemicals can pose a great danger to both you and the kids. Avoid this by using environmentally friendly cleaning products that are made from biodegradable, organic substances.

2.Brand Names Aren’t Necessarily the Best

Most people probably grew up watching their moms buy and use a specific brand soap whenever she wanted to clean the home. And because that’s all they’re used to, many instinctively turn to that same brand when they want to clean.

This is not good at all. Did you know that there are over 60 dangerous and toxic chemicals in the average home at every given time? And some of them seem pretty innocuous. In fact, many of us were brought up to look for these chemicals in any product and buy because of them.

A good example is Triclosan which is pretty common in antiseptic soaps and liquid detergents. Research and recent studies have shown that it can compromise the immune system, alter hormonal regulation and even enhance the resistance of germs.

It’s also been found to be easily to absorbed through the skin as evidenced in more than 75% of the people who had contact with the product via their skin. Pretty scary, isn’t it. So, until it is certified safe by all relevant medical and pharmaceutical bodies, you may want to avoid cleaning substances with Triclosan in them.

3.Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products Help Keep the Kids Safer

While it might be difficult to determine what happens to our kids out there, we can easily determine what happens to them within the home. And the one thing we don’t want happening is them getting hurt or injured.
Unfortunately, research has shown that most kids are poisoned from their contact with household cleaning chemicals. So, you’re probably hurting your kids and exposing them to danger by just using commercial cleaners. Go figure.

4.The Water Supply Could Be Poisoned

Cleaning chemicals containing ammonia, alkyphenol ethoxylates and phosphorus are harmful to the environment. So every time you use cleaning chemicals with one or more of these chemical compounds to clean or wash, you’re essentially contaminating your water source.

And even if you don’t contaminate your water,  the chemicals will find their way into the soil and nearby water bodies. This can have some serious impact on the environment, wildlife and nature itself.

As you can see, it’s always better to opt for a green home cleaning service or green cleaning chemicals. They are both environmentally friendly and pose less risk to you and your loved ones.
